Working in the studio
Sanctified Sound Studio is about as affordable as you will find anywhere, we guarantee it! Every project is different and we price it accordingly. We are confident that you will not find a more committed recording studio when it comes to your project.

Custom Pricing: The #1 question we receive is “What is your hourly rate?”

Every recording project is different and because we do not charge by the hour, we charge by the project. So, we need to discuss your project to understand your needs before we can provide you with a quote. I can tell you that we are extremely competitive and when you consider all of the FREE services we provide you as a client, we are the best deal anywhere! Call us today to discuss your needs and we will take care of you.

Mixing & Production Services - $20.00 per hr.

If you have already recorded your music in your own home/project studio and just want us to properly mix the tracks in order to receive a great sounding recording, then you would fall into our “mixing services” bucket. Or maybe you don’t live close and you want us to work with you on your project. Well, with the technology today, we can do everything online and you end up with a final project emailed to you and a hard copy will be shipped by “snail mail”.

Our basic fee is $20.00 per hr, to mix your project. As stated before, the pricing all depends on your specific project. The amount of time it takes to mix a track is about 1-3 hours. So you’re looking at $20 - $60 per song. If you are hiring us to mix an entire CD’s worth of material, then of course, we will discount that pricing for you. Again call us and we will customize a package for you.

Recording tips:

The more everyone understands what is expected in the studio, the better the songs will turn out. We are aware that some artists/musicians get uptight before a session - it can be a very stressful time. Just remember it's a demo - a snapshot in time of where you are right now.
Studios are pretty cold places. Because we're on the other side it can sometimes feel like we're sitting in judgment of your music - we aren't. We have our own problems to take care of. If we hear a mistake, we'll let you know, but we aren't sitting there waiting for you to make mistakes - we make enough mistakes of our own.
We're here to help you get great sound - not to judge your music or your playing.
(1) Rehearse only the songs that you'll be recording for at least 2 days before the session.

(2) Practice the songs straight through, including intros, endings, and dynamics. Work out all your solos before you get to the studio.

(3) Get a good night's sleep and make sure everyone is in a good mood before the session. Bring friends if you feel more comfortable with an audience.

(4) If you screw up, don't panic, but point it out. Most of the time, we can punch it in later. If one song isn't happening, forget that song and move on to another song, or we'll take a short break. Don't bother with "I'm sorry" or "I'll get it this time." You're just putting more pressure on yourself. Screwups happen. Just relax and try it again. Recording is very stressful - don't make it any harder on yourself. If you feel yourself getting tense about a song, take a break. A break after every couple of songs can help a lot. Be open to suggestions and changes. "Screw-ups" sometimes turn out great. Maybe you didn't hit the note you wanted, but the note you hit may be better.

(5) After the session, everybody usually wants a rough mix. Go ahead and enjoy it that night and the next day, then put it away.

That's about it. Above all, have fun. Remember, your attitude will come across on the finished product.

Studio Etiquette:

Here at Sanctified Sound Studio we want our clients to have a positive and fun recording experience. We take our business seriously and we expect our clients to do the same.
We do not accept every client that calls us to record in our studio. We are very careful to screen potential clients to ensure that we are a fit for your project and that you as a client are a good fit for our studio.
Having said that, we have a few rules and guidelines we expect all of our clients to follow. We always treat all of our clients with the utmost respect and we would ask that you do the same for our staff and facility. Just follow these simple guidelines and use common sense and your time here at Sanctified Sound Studio will be a great experience.
(1) Please make sure you are at 5-10 minutes early for your session. If your session is scheduled for 10:00am get to our studio at 9:50 - 9:55. We run a tight schedule and if you are late it backs up our entire schedule for the day. If something unexpected comes up and you are going to be late, please call us to let us know and we will see what can be done to reschedule your session. If you are a no call, no show you will not be allow to reschedule and you will lose your deposit. No Exceptions.
(2) There is absolutely no smoking in our music studio. We expect you to dispose your cigarette butts in the proper receptacle. Again, treat our studio and the grounds with respect.
(3) There is no alcohol permitted in our studio or on our premises. If you come to your session drunk, you will be asked to leave and you will lose your deposit. Our music studio is not a place for you to get drunk. If you are a musician who feels they need to be hammered to play music, then go to another recording studio.
(4) There are no drugs allowed in our studio or on our property. Just like with item 3 you will be asked to leave and / or we will call the police if you bring or are on drugs while you are on our property.
(5) Be Respectful of your bandmates and our staff. Recording sometimes can be a bit frustrating if things are not sounding right or if you are having an “off” day. Getting upset and being disrespectful is not the way to handle things and we will not tolerate it. We will make every effort possible to work with you so when you leave you are 100% happy with your product. So if everyone keeps a cool head and remembers that music is suppose to be fun, everything will be fine.
